As a builder for more than 60 years and suffered more than my fair share of back problems. When you are struggling to get out of bed and you have to rely on your wife to put your socks on you know you're  in trouble!  So, on a friend’s recommendation I went to see their physio'. You know what it’s like. Some people will sing their praises as the best thing since sliced bread! I have fallen for it before. Unfortunately, I was desperate! This time I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was Tim able to tell me what the problem was but also predicted how I would respond almost day to day through treatment. He didn’t pull any punches. He said it like it was. I will remember just how professional, kind and considerate his approach was. This helped me through one of the most painful experiences of my life. I couldn't have managed this on my own!

I’m not one for emotional outpourings but when I was sent to PD to see Tim by work I wanted to let people know how positive my experience has been. In a sentence I received -  Tailored Treatment that you can Trust........ You can rely on them to help. I have been sent to loads of places before but this is the first time I can honestly say that I have really felt that when they set out what I needed to do to resolve my problem I could rely on them. Tim got to the root of the problem very quickly. I just wish I hadn’t been so resistant and disbelieving at the beginning.  They treat you as a person not a problem and it was this that convinced me to start listening and not just expect to be listened too!

Tim Rickard at PhysioDirect is a true investigative professional. During a visit to Nottingham I made an appointment on the recommendation of a friend for pain in the back of my knee which was limiting my ability to stand or walk for months. I had previously had some treatment in London which had diagnosed a sprain! I was going to just struggle on until I got back but I am so glad I didn't. Tim identified something entirely different. It wasn't my knee. My posture gave a subtle clue which had been missed. The issue was my back. The very first Treatment changed my 6 month history of discomfort within a few minutes and I was able to get off the couch and walk with very little pain. The symptoms continued to subsided over the next 48 hours and I was pain free within 3-4 days. The difference was amazing.  Tim has given me great advice from the start. I can highly recommend his professionalism and individualised approach. Many thanks Tim, I will highly recommend you to all my family and friends and anyone else I meet that needs your help. My very first introduction to PD was a number of years ago. I chose them because they had just opened up a clinic close to where I lived. If I am to be honest it was just convenience. I have used several therapists in the past. They were all very professional but I never felt there was any significant difference between them. That was until I found Tim. It was only by chance that I found him. I have continued to return to see him ever since because he has never let me down and has always been very quick to identify and resolve my injuries. I am getting older but the type of work I do doesn’t get any easier. So, it is important to me that I don’t compromise on my therapy support. It must be informative, clearly structured and give me confidence from the ‘Get Go’ that I'm going to get a good result. I can’t fault PD and Tim’s help. He is certainly the best I have ever used in over 30 years of experience both NHS and Private. That’s why I’m happy to give him my recommendation
