Tim
Clinical Director Clinical Lead
Qualifications: Grad Dip Phys MCSP, MSc, AACP, ACPSM, SOM
Tim is the Clinical Director and founder of PhysioDirect, established in 1995. A graduate of the University of Nottingham and a former RAF serviceman, Tim was inspired to pursue physiotherapy following personal sports injuries sustained during his time as a competitive canoeist. His career began in the NHS, where he specialised in musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy and quickly gained recognition for his clinical effectiveness and teaching ability. In the early 1990s, Tim worked internationally as a clinical education coordinator and lecturer for elite sports injury clinics and specialist hospitals across the UK and Europe. This formative experience shaped his belief in timely, patient-centred, evidence-based care. As a result, PhysioDirect was created to deliver bespoke, hands-on physiotherapy that avoids a one-size-fits-all approach. With extensive postgraduate qualifications and experience in spinal manipulation, acupuncture (including dry needling), exercise rehabilitation, and occupational health, Tim remains a passionate advocate for innovative, empathetic, and effective treatment. He is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of physiotherapists and ensuring PhysioDirect continues to bridge the gap between institutional healthcare limitations and real-world patient needs.

Maninder
Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
Qualifications: BPT, MPT, HCPC Registered Physiotherapist
I believe that movement is medicine and the right rehabilitation approach can truly transform lives. With over six years of clinical experience in India and the UK, I am a passionate and results-driven Musculoskeletal (MSK) and Sports Physiotherapist dedicated to helping people overcome pain, restore function, and achieve their performance goals. Currently practicing at PhysioDirect Clinic in Nottingham, I specialise in treating musculoskeletal conditions and sports-related injuries with a holistic, evidence-based approach. My journey began in Punjab, India, where I gained valuable hands-on experience as a Sports Physiotherapist during local hockey tournaments. Since then, I have continued to expand my skills, receiving advanced training in dry needling, acupuncture, and T-band exercise prescription. These techniques allow me to design highly individualised treatment plans that not only target symptoms but also address the root cause of dysfunction. I’m deeply committed to empowering my clients—whether athletes or everyday individuals—to take an active role in their recovery. By combining manual therapy with tailored exercise programs and education, I aim to support long-term health, independence, and resilience. Outside the clinic, I enjoy staying active through running, exploring nature on weekends, and continually learning through courses and reading the latest in physiotherapy. Above all, I value compassionate care and strive to make every client feel heard, supported, and inspired on their journey to wellness. “My mission is to help people live pain-free, regain confidence in their movement, and take control of their health—one step at a time.” Languages: Fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi.

What our clients say
" Tailored Treatment that you can Trust... You can rely on them to help. I have been sent to loads of places before but this is the first time I can honestly say that I have really felt that when they set out what I needed to do to resolve my problem I could rely on them. They treat you as a person not a problem and it was this that convinced me to start listening and not just expect to be listened too! "
