The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy is the professional, educational and trade union body for the country’s 47,000 Chartered Physiotherapists, including assistants and students.

The Society is a member-led organisation, governed by the CSP Council. This is made up of elected CSP members and is supported by a system of boards, branches, committees and groups. The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy provides an exceptionally wide range of member services and is also a campaigning organisation, speaking up for physiotherapists and promoting the physiotherapy profession. It aims to:

  • Lead and support its members and help them provide the highest standards of innovative patient care

  • Protect and further advise the interests of the members

  • Raise the profile of the profession and influence the health care agenda

  • Work openly in partnership to meet the needs of the members and their patients
