The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy is the professional, educational and trade union body for the country’s 47,000 Chartered Physiotherapists, including assistants and students.
The Society is a member-led organisation, governed by the CSP Council. This is made up of elected CSP members and is supported by a system of boards, branches, committees and groups. The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy provides an exceptionally wide range of member services and is also a campaigning organisation, speaking up for physiotherapists and promoting the physiotherapy profession. It aims to:
Lead and support its members and help them provide the highest standards of innovative patient care
Protect and further advise the interests of the members
Raise the profile of the profession and influence the health care agenda
Work openly in partnership to meet the needs of the members and their patients
